Reviews and Awards for Las Palmeras Wines
Dull garnet black color. Smoky, savory aromas and flavors of grilled peppers, olives, roasted berries, and hint of jerky with a satiny, tangy, fruity medium-to-full body and a graceful, delightful, medium-long spiced cherries, dried currants, and chocolate mint finish with fine, chewy tannins and light oak.
Bright gold color. Fruity, toasty aromas and flavors of green apples, grilled pineapples, lightly buttered toast points, and pressed linen with a slightly chewy, bright, dry full body and a smooth, complex, medium-length finish with earthy tannins and light oak. Easy balanced flavors and it opened up nicely with air.
Bright brown brick red color. Fruity, green aromas and flavors of green plums, huckleberries, planked cedar embers, and mocha-turned earth with a slightly chewy, crisp, dry full body and a stimulating, carefree finish with woody, earthy tannins and moderate oak. Surprisingly nice texture, a rich mid-palate and the wine improved with air.
